장애 정의를 향한 국경 없는 연대… 제1회 토론토장애인권영화제 개최

6월 15일 토론토 요크대학교서… 전장연 대표단과 감독‧당사자 참여

전국장애인차별철폐연대(SADD)의 2025년 캐나다 방문을 기념하여, 제2회 캐나다 장애인권영화제가 오는 6월 15일(일) 오후 2시부터 6시까지, 토론토 요크대학교 르네상스룸(VC 001)에서 열린다.

이번 행사는 서울장애인인권영화제가 주최하고, 전국장애인차별철폐연대 및 그 캐나다지부가 공동 주관하며, 토론토대학교와 요크대학교의 여러 연구기관들이 후원한다.

행사 관계자는 “장애인이 직접 주체가 되어 활발한 시민사회 운동을 통해 전세계에서 가장 앞선 장애인권 법률과 제도적인 발전을 이끌어낸 캐나다에서 한국과 캐나다의 장애인과 시민들이 함께 만나 장애인의 삶과 노동에 대한 대화를 나누는 뜻깊은 자리가 될 것”이라며 기대감을 전했다.

영화제 프로그램은 크게 두 부분으로 구성된다. 1부(오후 2:00~4:00)에서는 박경석 전국장애인차별철폐연대 상임공동대표의 개회사에 이어, 시설 밖, 나로 살기》(감독: 추병진, 2024년작, 37분),《일로 만난 사이》(감독: 장호경, 2023년작, 26분)

두 편의 다큐멘터리가 상영된다. 모든 작품에는 영어 자막이 제공된다.

2부(오후 4:00~6:00)는 관객과 패널이 함께하는 대화의 시간이다. 이 자리에는 《시설 밖, 나로 살기》의 주인공이자 전국탈시설장애인연대 박초현 공동대표, 《일로 만난 사이》를 연출한 장호경 감독과 김포장애인야학 소속 권리중심 공공일자리 노동자이은혜 씨가 참여해 장애인의 노동과 탈시설, 삶의 전환에 대해 이야기 나눌 예정이다.

행사 후원은 현장 자율기부 형식으로 이뤄지며, 좌석이 한정되어 있어 사전 예약이 권장된다.
